(Portraits of reeneacting artillery unit member from the Tapió region, 2006)
We took portraits of a reenacting artillery unit in the Tápió region, Hungary.
For three months the portraits were to be seen on the sides of five independent, privately owned commuter buses that run between Nagykáta and Budapest. The photographed artillery troops keep the memory of the victorious battle of Tápióbicske alive. On April 4, 1849 the Hungarian army defeated the Austrians in a battle fought over a bridge spanning a brook.
